Getting a cable through the Atlantic Ocean proved Considerably harder. The Atlantic Telegraph Organization, formed in London in 1856, experienced many unsuccessful tries. A cable laid in 1858 worked improperly for a few days, at times having all day to mail a concept despite the use with the extreme
